![]() With a timer going, I decided to drop what I was doing and check it out. I ended up getting a slew of messages for the Sunbeam, and finally got pointed to the island to go watch it land. So, I went back to my pod and just built a bunch of stuff and explored. I think they could work on the sequence of messages.Ī lot of messages seem to be triggered based on things you do, but if you "skip ahead" on stuff it seems like the game tosses messages at you in an odd order.ĮG: I fixed the Aurora, but didn't have a laser cutter. But any more timed missions known to be in the game? Anyway it looks like I should take the message. They were writing at the same time as me, just hit the post button faster. Is it pushing me towards rescue already? (I thought they got shot out of the sky?) Are there more timed missions? I reloaded my save prior to taking that message to avoid it, should i take it and not worry about it? My AAA personality is killing me :D Thanks to all.Įdit: I just saw two posts, put up like a minute apart from mine, haha. I have read (previously before the last major update) about some spoiler issues that may come up, but nothing about this timed mission. ![]() I just built my first base and hardly have done much exploring. A timer comes up onto the PDA screen with a countdown.I don't like timed situations for one thing, but the major thing is, is this now pushing me forward at a faster rate into situations I have to hurray to resolve. The thing is (Stop reading if you don't want a spoiler) I get a transmission for a timed episode for the Sunbeam to go to the island. I listen to all the transmissions coming up in the lifepod as soon as they are beeping. I like to take my time and explore, gathering materials and such. Degasi and lifepods just explain the situation they are not tied to main story nor do they trigger anything related to main story.I started playing a new game yesturday for a few hours and not very far into it. I guess you could just finish the whole game without ever building/fixing radio. ![]() could have guessed, or used pda to google the damn thing. you could just type it without ever listening to altera. The only way to get neptune blueprint is in captains quarters, you are given the code via message from altera. Since someone asked you do actually need radio to finish the game. Even after gun is disabled it wont show up, their response is something I don't remember but they are "thankful" for headsup about the quarantine and they just leave. If you do not listen to sunbeams first message and deal with gun you simply get a different outcome and sunbeam NEVER EVER shows up. Some requre visitng biome, some time passed, some building x, etc. ![]() the timer is in real time and not game time, so you will usually have 45 minutes to reach the island for the planned meet up.ĭifferent radio message have different triggers. How you trigger it is by fixing the radio and letting the initial sunbeam messages run, but if you get the message that says the sunbeam is about to arrive at the planet for landing, a timer will show up warning you when it will happen. if you do disable the QEP the sunbeam won't be shot down but it can't land and instead will make its way out of the system and report your location to Alterra. IF you have managed to disable the Enforcement Platform by the time they arrive, I believe they make a different excuse not to land instead (somthing to do with too much orbital debris in the way or something.), and just go on thier way.Īccording to the wiki are are two possible outcomes, if you don't disable the QEP, the sunbeam will be shot down. I'm pretty sure it will get shot down regardless of when it arrives. Originally posted by LupisLight:The Sunbeam? If you have repaired your lifepod and it's radio, I THINK that's the trigger to get the messages to start popping up, I might be wrong.
